The Witness - NAA

Novelty. Authenticity. Acoustic

You’re most moved by new music that feels honest, immediate, and human.

You’re drawn to acoustic folk that sounds like someone telling the truth about their life, right now.

For you, folk is about presence — sounds that bring real feeling, and emotional clarity.

Elements of 'The Witness'

Novelty: You're crave music that is creating something new that responds to this time and place.

Authenticity: You love it when a musician's performance sounds direct, unguarded and emotionally immediate. Especially the thrill of hearing something that feels as if it has travelled straight from feeling to sound: a cracked voice, a rough edge, a breath left in the recording, the sense that nobody has polished the life out of it.

Acoustic: You love sounds rooted in analogue realism. You love hearing acoustic sonic texture of breath, wood, gut, skin, voice and floorboards. You thrill at what is possible with breath and hands.

When you close your eyes, you visualise the musicians and space where the music is being made.
